Aratech — an IP foundry.
We find narrow problems in AI-disrupted markets, then build what they need.
Aratech is a small studio that designs and ships targeted software in markets the generative wave has quietly broken open. We build the tool, prove it works, and either license or sell it. Two projects are in progress.
Narrow tools, built to be sold.
A traditional studio sells its time. A product company sells one product for a decade. We do neither.
We find a narrow problem — small enough that a two-person team can ship a credible tool, specific enough that a model alone can't solve it. We build the tool, run it until the economics are legible, then license or sell it to an operator who wants to run it longer than we will.
This only works because of the shift underneath. Generative models collapsed the cost of the hardest part of building software — so the bottleneck moved to taste, specificity, and distribution. That's the work we're good at.
Two projects in build.
Neither is showable yet. Both will be by summer.
A single-player game in a genre where procedural content generation has become credible for the first time. Alpha is playable end-to-end; we're tuning the middle.
A narrow B2B service in a market where incumbents priced on human labor. We're pricing on inference. A handful of design partners are using it in production.
The next ten years of software look more like magazines than platforms.
The last wave optimized for scale. The next one rewards taste, specificity, and the willingness to make small things that are fully finished.
We think the returns on being a good operator of one narrow tool are about to be much higher than being a mediocre operator of ten. We're structured to find out.

Three ways to reach us. Pick the right one.
If you run a business adjacent to what we're building — or might want to license or acquire either project — we'd rather talk sooner than later.
Email Serenda ↗ serenda@aratech.nlWe're funded through the next build cycle. If you invest in studios at this stage, we're happy to stay in touch so we know each other before we do raise.
Email Maarten ↗ maarten@aratech.nlNo formal openings. If the work resonates and you've shipped something you're proud of, tell us about it. We read everything.

We publish when we have something specific to say. Not often. There is nothing here yet — the first note lands with P-02's open beta.
